Working with a Community Leader
We believe strongly in giving back and finding projects that support our community. We’ve enjoyed the opportunity to work with the United Way on several projects. In 2014, we partnered with United Way of Transylvania County (UWTC) and KOALA (Keeping Older Adults Living Abundantly) to produce a video story telling how KOALA has helped one Transylvania family stay together. Most recently, we worked with Summit Marketing to produce a video for the United Way brach in Henderson County, North Carolina.
KOALA Adult Day Services provides a safe environment for participants to socialize, receive quality health care, and engage in activity programming that is rewarding physically and mentally. The video was intended to share with other Mission Health System employees and the community at large about KOALA services and how UWTC helps fund the program. They wanted it to demonstrate KOALA’s person-centered care, with a focus on dignity and respect for the entire family. It was a privilege to meet the caregivers at KOALA and get a glimpse into their world. Our team was touched by the selfless work and care they bring to their work.
We were not disappointed on this more recent project. The 2017 update of a 2016 video on the United Way in Henderson County was another wonderful experience. The United Way plays such a vital role in so many lives. They work to improve education, income and health. Their annual campaign helps them to mobilize numerous resources that allow them to serve their goals. We were honored to work with this community cornerstone.
We have received numerous positive responses from community members about the moving and informative United Way video. Real Digital Productions did a phenomenal job of showing the impact Adult Day Services can make in the lives of caregivers and those for whom they provide care.
